Support the Library

There are many ways to help support the library. We are pleased to accept monetary donations, book donations, and volunteer time.

Swampscott Public Library Investment Trust
Trustees of the Swampscott Library established this 501c3 to fund major capital improvements to the library. Donations can be made on a one-time basis or through a bequest. For further information please contact the Library Director at 781-596-8867 x 3301.

Friends of the Swampscott Public Library is a 501c3 non-profit organization that accepts donations. It is dedicated to support the library by purchasing museum passes, providing a monthly newsletter, and funding adult and children’s programming. The Friends also support other various needs of the library. Donations can be mailed to:  Treasurer, Friends of the Swampscott Public Library, PO Box 28, Swampscott, MA 01907-0028

General Monetary Gifts
At the discretion of the Selectmen, the library can accept restricted and non-restricted monetary donations.

Commemoration
To honor a friend or family member, you can donate funds for the purchase of books in which a bookplate would be placed honoring the recipient.

Online Support
Amazon Smile
If you purchase items through Amazon.com you can support the library by going to www.smile.amazon.com & selecting Swampscott Public Library as the entity you want to support. Once that is done, every time you purchase through smile.amazon.com, the library benefits. Even better, you can use the Chrome extension: https://couponfollow.com/smilematic to help you automatically turn the purchase into a donation so you don’t have to remember to do it!

Books may be purchased for the library using our Amazon Wishlist of titles. Pick an item from our list, purchase it, and it will be sent to the library as a gift.

Your web searches and Internet purchases can benefit the library as well.  Start your search at GoodSearch.com, type in Swampscott Public Library as your charity and a few cents will be donated to the library.

Book Donations:

The library accepts donations of gently used, recent books for the Friends of the Library book sale.  We do not accept magazines, textbooks or encyclopedias. The library cannot place a value on your donated books.
