November & December Programs!

Cosplay 101 *NEW TIME*

Have you always wanted to do cosplay, but didn’t know where to start? Or do you cosplay already and want to be able to talk to others who do it, too? Join us on November 18th @ 12pm and meet Mink the Satyr, a professional cosplayer from Boston! She’ll get you started on how to begin your cosplay project, and give you tips if you’ve already started.

It’s 3D Printer Time!

Have you ever wanted to use a 3-D printer but don’t know how? Want to learn how to use the software to make your own design and then print it in 3-D! Or, you know technology and just the printer? Then come to the library the following dates and we will have the 3-D printer on and ready to go. Help will be given to all those who have questions or need assistance! Come on in and give it a try! Ages 10 and up

 Dates:   Saturday, November 4th & Saturday, December 16th from 12 am – 2pm

Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

The Swampscott Public Library will be hosting a (fake) snowman contest! Construct your snowman from non-melty materials as your favorite book character and submit for judging. The snowmen will spend some time hanging out in the library and will be returned to you. The best snowman will win a $25 gift certificate to Amazon. Open to ages 10 through adult.

Submit your book character snowman by December 21st. We will have mulled cider, along with cookies and other treats all day!

The winner will be announced on December 23rd.
